ZONE600F impulse pedal sealer

ZONE600F is an impulse pedal sealer with a 600 mm bar. It closes the widest bags in the range in one press: sacks, pallet liners, protective covers and anything else that a 300 or 450 mm bar has to be dragged along twice.

The wire heats only while the jaws are closed and cools under them straight after, so the bar is cold between bags and the seal is set before the bag is taken out. The seal is 2 to 5 mm wide and the heating time is adjustable.

The jaws are closed by the foot pedal, which is what a bag of this width needs: both hands hold it flat across the whole 600 mm while the seal is made.

The machine stands on its own column, 700 × 570 × 880 mm, weighs about 22 kg and runs from a normal socket at 1000 W.

ZONE600F is used in manufacturing plants, warehouses and logistics centres where wide bags and liners are filled and closed by hand. It fits into packing rooms and workstations that handle bulk goods, parts, hardware, food, pharmaceuticals and cosmetics. The 600 mm bar is chosen for sacks, pallet covers, drum liners and other packaging that cannot be sealed in one press by a smaller machine.

What a 600 mm bar is for

• The widest bag in one press. 600 mm of seal closes a sack or a liner in a single stroke, with no overlap and no second seal.
• A cold bar between bags. The wire heats only during the seal, so the bar is safe to touch and the machine does not heat the room.
• Both hands on the bag. The foot pedal closes the jaws; a wide bag has to be held flat with two hands or the seal wanders.
• Set to the film. The heating time is adjusted to the thickness, so thin PE and heavier film both seal cleanly.
• Nothing to install. A normal socket at 1000 W. No compressed air, no three-phase supply.
• It stands where you pack. 700 × 570 × 880 mm on its own column, about 22 kg.

How a seal is made

1. Switch the machine on and set the heating time for the film you are sealing.
2. Hold the filled bag with the mouth flat across the whole 600 mm bar.
3. Press the foot pedal: the jaws close and the wire heats for the set time.
4. Wait one to two seconds after the light goes out, so the seal cools under the jaws.
5. Peel the bag away sideways, from left and right, not towards you.

Settings and care

• Heating time. Start short and add a little until the seal holds; too long and the film burns through.
• Bag position. The mouth lies flat across the whole bar. On a 600 mm bag a fold in the middle is the usual cause of a bag that opens later.
• After the seal. Wait one to two seconds and pull the bag away sideways, never forward.
• Never seal empty. Closing the jaws with nothing between them burns the PTFE cloth.
• Cleaning. Keep the bar and the cloth free of melted film and never clean them wet.
• Wear parts. The PTFE cloth, the heating wire and the top pressure pad; a damaged pad makes the seal uneven along its length.

Before you order

The price is on this page. A sealer is bought for the bag it has to close, so check these before you order:

• Bag width. Up to 600 mm in one press. For narrower bags ZONE450F is enough.
• Film. Impulse suits PE, PP and multi-layer film. Aluminium-laminated and thick bags need the constant heat ZONE300D.
• Seal width. 2 to 5 mm. For a 14 mm seal that carries weight, take ZONE300D.
• Space. 700 × 570 × 880 mm on the floor, plus room on both sides for a 600 mm bag.
• Supply. Single-phase socket with earth, 1000 W.
• Delivery. The machine travels in a crate of 790 × 545 × 257 mm, about 24 kg.
