Squeegee rubber strips for the J115

Front and rear squeegee rubber strips for the J115 floor scrubberThese are the squeegee rubber strips for the J115 floor scrubber, the front one that pushes the water together and the rear one that seals against the floor while the vacuum lifts it.

The front strip is 1055 × 57 × 4 mm and the rear 1126 × 60 × 4.76 mm, which covers the machine’s full 1080 mm squeegee width.

The squeegee rubber strips are fitted to the J115 floor scrubber’s squeegee assembly by clamping, with no tools required. Each strip is drilled to match the J115 squeegee and is installed by seating it over the pins with a fresh edge facing downward. The operator closes the clamp evenly along the length of the strip to ensure a consistent seal, avoiding tension at one end and slack at the other. Once fitted, the squeegee is lowered and leveled using the adjustment nut on its screw, and the operator checks performance by running the machine over a wet patch to confirm that no water line is left behind.

Each strip offers four usable edges, allowing the operator to turn the strip when the first edge becomes rounded and to replace it only after all four edges are worn. The strips are made of industrial rubber, resistant to detergents and abrasion, and are designed as planned consumables for the J115. After each shift, the operator wipes the strip and squeegee clean to remove grit, which can cut the rubber or scratch the floor. The strips should not be stored bent, as a folded strip will lose its ability to seal effectively.

Squeegee rubber strip rolled up, the drilled mounting holes visibleThey are the reason a floor is dry behind the machine. With a worn strip the 550 W vacuum pulls air instead of water, and the floor is left wet, streaked and slippery.

Rubber strips are a wear part, like the brushes. They are turned or replaced on a schedule, because the first sign of a worn edge is a floor that has to be walked over twice.

Where the J115 squeegee strips are used

Squeegee rubber strips for the J115 are used in warehouses, production halls, logistics centers, and large commercial buildings where floors must be dry and safe after cleaning. They are standard consumables for contract cleaning companies, facility management teams, and in-house maintenance departments responsible for large floor areas. Typical tasks include routine cleaning of concrete, epoxy, and sealed industrial floors, where water recovery and slip prevention are critical for safety and operational continuity.

What the strips decide

  • A dry floor in one pass. A sealing edge sends the water to the vacuum intake instead of leaving it on the floor.
  • The full 1080 mm. Front and rear strips cover the whole squeegee, so the machine dries everything it washes.
  • Safety, not cosmetics. A wet floor in a warehouse is a slip hazard and stops the area being used until it dries.
  • It protects the vacuum. A squeegee that seals lets the motor pull water; one that does not makes it run hot on air.
  • Turn before you replace. A strip has four usable edges. Turning one costs nothing and doubles its life.
  • A planned consumable. Cheap, quick to change and the single biggest influence on how clean the floor looks.

What you get

  • Squeegee rubber strips for the J115 floor scrubber
  • Front strip 1055 × 57 × 4 mm
  • Rear strip 1126 × 60 × 4.76 mm
  • For a squeegee width of 1080 mm
  • Industrial rubber, resistant to detergents and abrasion
  • Drilled to the J115 squeegee, fitted without tools
  • Wear part, four usable edges per strip

How the strips are changed

  1. Park the machine, switch it off and lower the squeegee so it is easy to reach.
  2. Release the clamping strip and take the old rubber off; note which way round the front and the rear strip sit.
  3. Fit the new strip over the pins, with a fresh edge downwards and the full length seated.
  4. Close the clamp evenly along the strip, so it is not pulled tight at one end and loose at the other.
  5. Lower the squeegee and level it with the nut on its screw, then run over a wet patch: there must be no water line left behind.

Care and when to replace them

  • Level the squeegee. It must touch the floor evenly along its width. A squeegee that leans dries one side and leaves a line on the other.
  • Turn the strip. Each strip has four edges. Turn it when the first edge is rounded, and replace it when all four are.
  • Clean after the shift. Grit under the strip cuts it and scratches the floor. Wipe the strip and the squeegee every day.
  • Do not store it bent. A strip left folded takes the shape and never seals again.
  • Watch the water line. A thin line of water behind the machine is the first sign of a worn edge, long before it looks worn.
  • Check the vacuum hose too. If a new strip does not fix a wet floor, the fault is in the hose, the filter or the recovery tank seal.

Before you order

Squeegee of the J115 floor scrubber with the rubber strips fittedThe price is on this page. Rubber strips are bought for the machine, so check these before you order:

  • The machine. These are for the J115. The J25, J45 and J85 have their own squeegee widths. Order by the machine.
  • Front or rear. The two are not the same: the front is 1055 × 57 × 4 mm, the rear 1126 × 60 × 4.76 mm. Say which one you need, or take both.
  • How many. A set is one front and one rear strip. Keep a spare set on the shelf. Changing them takes minutes, ordering them takes days.
  • How often. It depends on the floor. Rough concrete eats rubber; sealed epoxy is gentle. Count running hours, not months.
  • Brushes too. The brush and the strip wear together. If the machine needs new strips, look at the brushes at the same time.
  • Delivery. Small parts, in a box of 15 × 15 × 15 cm.
