ZONE300D constant heat pedal sealer

ZONE300D is a constant heat pedal sealer. The sealing bar is held at the temperature you set, so it is ready for every bag instead of heating up for each one. That is what lets it close aluminium-laminated and thick bags that an impulse sealer cannot weld through.

The seal is 300 mm long and 14 mm wide, a wide seal that holds heavy contents and gives the bag a clean, straight closure. The temperature is set anywhere between 0 and 300 °C on the controller, to match the film.

Both hands stay on the bag: the jaws are closed by the foot pedal, so the packer holds the bag straight while it is sealed. The frame is die-cast aluminium alloy, the machine is 345 × 480 × 880 mm and weighs 21 kg.

It runs from a normal 220 V socket at 175 W × 2 of heating power, so it needs no compressed air and no three-phase supply. It seals PE and PS film, multi-layer laminates and aluminium-laminated bags.

The ZONE300D constant heat pedal sealer is used in food processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, hardware and general consumer goods packaging. It is suited for sealing bags and pouches that require a strong, wide closure, especially where aluminium-laminated or thick multi-layer films are used for product protection. Typical applications include packaging roasted coffee, spices, powders, medical supplies and hardware kits.

The machine fits into medium-scale production lines, packing rooms, and service centers. It stands next to the packing table or integrates into a manual or semi-automatic workflow, where operators fill and seal bags in sequence.

What constant heat does that impulse cannot

• Aluminium-laminated bags. Constant heat goes through a laminate that an impulse wire only warms up. Coffee, spices, powders and technical parts stay sealed.
• Ready for the next bag. The bar keeps its temperature, so there is no waiting between bags and the hundredth seal is like the first.
• A 14 mm wide seal. Wide enough to carry weight; a narrow seal is what tears first when the bag is lifted.
• Both hands on the bag. The foot pedal closes the jaws, so the packer holds the bag flat and the seal comes out straight.
• Any temperature up to 300 °C. Thin PE at the bottom of the range, thick laminates at the top, set on the controller.
• A normal socket. 220 V, no compressed air, 21 kg. It stands on its own column next to the packing table, where it is needed.

How a seal is made

1. Switch the machine on and set the temperature for the film you are sealing.
2. Wait for the bar to reach the set temperature, the controller shows it.
3. Hold the filled bag with the mouth flat over the sealing bar.
4. Press the foot pedal: the jaws close and hold the seal for as long as the film needs.
5. Release the pedal and take the bag out; the next one can go straight in.

Settings and care

• Temperature. Start low and raise it in small steps until the seal holds. Too hot and the film shrinks away from the bar, too cold and the seal peels.
• Seal time. How long you hold the pedal. A thick laminate needs longer than a thin PE bag.
• Bag position. The mouth has to lie flat across the whole bar, without folds. A fold is where a bag opens later.
• Never seal empty. Closing the jaws without a bag between them burns the PTFE cloth.
• Cleaning. Keep the bar and the PTFE cloth free of melted film, and never clean them wet. Do not scrape hardened film off with anything hard.
• Wear parts. Check the top pressure pad; once it is damaged the seal is no longer even and the pad has to be replaced.

Before you order

The price is on this page. A sealer is bought for the bag it has to close, so check these before you order:

• Bag width. Up to 300 mm of seal. For wider bags take ZONE450F (450 mm) or ZONE600F (600 mm).
• Film. Constant heat is the choice for aluminium-laminated and thick bags. For thin PE only, an impulse sealer is cheaper to run.
• Seal width. 14 mm. A wide seal carries weight; a 2–5 mm seal is for light bags.
• Output. One bag per pedal press, without waiting for the bar to heat up.
• Supply. 220 V single phase, 175 W × 2, earthed socket.
• Delivery. The machine travels in a crate of 810 × 560 × 270 mm, about 25 kg.
