T160LB tabletop labelling machine

T160LB tabletop labelling machine with the label roll and the conveyorT160LB is a tabletop labelling machine for flat surfaces. It stands on a bench, takes up 1100 × 1000 mm, and does what two people with a roll of labels do. Only in the same place on every piece.

T160LB in production and packaging

The T160LB tabletop labelling machine is used in manufacturing, packaging, and logistics environments where flat product surfaces require precise and repeatable labelling. Typical applications include cartons, pouches, trays, flat bottles, and rigid components with a uniform top face. It is suitable for industries such as electronics, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and food processing, where accurate labelling is required for compliance and traceability. Contract packagers and enterprises handling batch production or multi-product labelling benefit from its ability to handle a wide range of product dimensions without occupying excessive floor space.

It labels 30 to 80 pieces a minute and holds the label within ±1 mm. The product is detected by a photo eye, the label is peeled off the liner and a roller presses it down.

T160LB labelling machine applying a label to a flat boxLabels can be 6 to 250 mm long and 20 to 160 mm wide, and the products 40 to 300 mm long, 40 to 200 mm wide and 0.2 to 100 mm high. The roll may be up to 260 mm across on a core of at least 75 mm.

The conveyor and the label head are driven by a step motor, and the head is set up and down and front to back. The machine takes about 765 W from a 110 V or 220 V socket.

Operator tasks and workflow with the T160LB

Routine checks include cleaning the rollers and sensors, removing adhesive buildup, and checking the fuse. Keeping the machine and its environment clean and dry prevents misfeeds and sensor errors. Operators should validate label readability and placement at the start of each shift or batch, and periodically sample output to ensure ongoing compliance with labelling requirements.

What a small labeller changes

  • The same place every time. ±1 mm instead of by eye, which is what a customer sees first when a box is put on a shelf.
  • It fits on a bench. 1100 × 1000 × 800 mm, so it goes into a packing room without rebuilding the line.
  • 30 to 80 pieces a minute. 1800 to 4800 an hour, which is more than a person can do by hand all day.
  • Long products. Up to 300 mm long, which is 50 mm more than the larger A175LB takes.
  • Big rolls. Up to 260 mm across on a 75 mm core, so the machine runs longer between roll changes.
  • An ordinary socket. About 765 W at 110 V or 220 V. No compressed air.

How a label is applied

  1. Put the roll on the feed, lead the liner over the peeling plate to the rewinder and set the brake so the tape stays tight.
  2. Set the height and the front-to-back position of the head, and set the label position on the panel.
  3. Lay the products on the conveyor along the guides, one after another.
  4. The photo eye detects the product, the traction mechanism dispenses the label and the peeling plate hands it over.
  5. The roller presses the label down and the product leaves the machine labelled.

Settings and maintenance

  • Label position. The delay between the photo eye and the head decides where the label lands. Change it in small steps and check on a real product.
  • Tape tension. The brake and the guide rollers keep the liner tight. A loose tape is what makes a label land crooked.
  • Head height. Set it to the height of the product so the label is laid down flat, not dragged onto the surface.
  • Product guides. The product must run parallel to the label tape, or the label goes on at an angle every time.
  • Cleaning. Clear away paper scraps, clean the rollers and the electrical box with alcohol or a neutral cleaner, and wipe the sensor lens with a soft brush. Never use acidic cleaners or anything that scratches.
  • Regular checks. Replace the fuse when it ages and spray anti-rust oil on the steel parts. The machine wants room temperature, not damp or fumes.
  • To avoid common mistakes, confirm that all products have a flat, stable top face within the specified size range, and that the labels are compatible with both the machine and the product surface. Check that the guides are set to eliminate lateral play, and that the label roll is loaded with the liner tight. When changing label or product size, run a short validation batch to confirm settings before full production.

Before you order

The price is on this page. A labeller is bought for the product and the label, so check these before you order:

  • Product size. 40–300 mm long, 40–200 mm wide and 0.2–100 mm high, with a flat top face.
  • Label size. 6–250 mm long and 20–160 mm wide. For a label up to 175 mm wide take the A175LB.
  • Output. 30–80 pieces a minute, which is 1800 to 4800 an hour. For a faster line, A175LB labels 40 to 120 a minute.
  • The bench. 1100 × 1000 × 800 mm and 130 kg, the bench has to carry it and stand firm.
  • Roll size. Up to 260 mm across on a core of at least 75 mm. Order the labels to fit.
  • Delivery. The machine travels in a crate of 126 × 92 × 74 cm, 150 kg gross.

T160LB tabletop labelling machine: selection and integration

Before choosing the T160LB, review your production targets, product and label sizes, and available workspace. Define the required labelled-units-per-hour based on real production data, including shift targets and changeovers. Select a machine capacity with headroom to accommodate ramp-up, operator interventions, and label roll changes. Confirm that all current and planned SKUs fit within the machine’s product and label size windows to avoid the need for custom fixtures or parallel equipment. For products outside the specified range, consider a different model.

Install the machine on a rigid, level surface that can support its weight and dimensions. Ensure access for loading, unloading, and maintenance. Operate in a clean, dry area with stable temperature and minimal vibration. Provide standard AC power and proper grounding for safety and signal stability. Maintain an inventory of compatible pressure-sensitive labels and basic wear parts to minimize downtime.
