This is transparent hand stretch film, 500 mm wide and 23 µm thick, on rolls of 3 kg. It is sold by the pallet: 40 cartons of 6 rolls, 240 rolls in all.

Each roll carries 212 m of LLDPE cast film on a paper core 510 mm long, 50 mm inside. The roll weighs 3.0 kg, of which 0.75 kg is the core.

The film is designed for manual application in environments where pallets are wrapped by hand for internal handling, storage, or transport. Typical users include warehouses dispatching goods daily, production plants consolidating finished products, and third-party logistics providers preparing mixed shipments. It is suitable for wrapping a range of pallet loads, such as cartons, boxed goods, mixed pallets, bagged materials, and packaged industrial components. Operators set the pallet on a firm floor and check that the load is stacked evenly before wrapping. The start of the film is fixed to the pallet base with a few turns around the lower edge. As the operator walks around the pallet, the film is pulled tight to stretch it, with each turn overlapping the one below up to the top of the load. Wrapping is finished with a few turns at the top, and the end of the film is pressed onto the layer beneath. The inside of the film is placed against the load to take advantage of its higher cohesion.

The film stretches by about 160 % in use and clings on the inside (80 %) more than on the outside (20 %), so the layers hold on each other while the pallet does not stick to its neighbour.

Being transparent, it leaves labels and barcodes readable through the wrapping.

How the film is used

1. Set the pallet on a firm floor and check that the load is stacked evenly.
2. Fix the start of the film to the pallet base with a few turns around the lower edge.
3. Walk around the pallet with the roll, pulling the film tight so it stretches.
4. Let each turn overlap the one below, up to the top of the load.
5. Finish with a few turns at the top and press the end of the film onto the layer beneath.

Storage and handling

• Storage. Keep the rolls in a dry room at room temperature, away from heaters and direct light.
• Shelf life. Stored that way, the film keeps its quality for 6 months.
• The core. The paper core is 50 mm inside. A dispenser made for 76 mm cores, such as our HOLD3, takes the 5 kg roll, not this one.
• The cling side. The inside of the film clings more; wrap with the inside against the load.
• Handling. Keep the rolls in their cartons until use, so the edges are not damaged.
