AS-X1012 electric scissor lift

AS-X1012 is a self-propelled electric scissor lift. It carries two people with their tools to a working position and drives between positions on its own, so nobody moves a ladder or a scaffold tower.

It reaches a working height of 12 m and a platform height of 10 m, and carries 320 kg in total, of which at most 120 kg on the extension deck. Indoors it takes two people, outdoors one.

Folded it is 2.40 m long, 1.15 m wide and 1.84 m high with the rails down, so it goes through a factory door and along an aisle. The platform is 2.25 × 1.15 m and slides out by another 1.0 m.

It runs on batteries: 4 × 6 V, 200 Ah. Drives at 3.2 km/h stowed and at 0.8 km/h with the platform raised, and weighs 2820 kg. Ground clearance is 95 mm folded and 20 mm raised.

How a shift with it goes

1. Inspect the machine before the shift: guardrails, tyres, battery charge, controls and the emergency stop at both stations.
2. Drive it to the work position with the platform down, at up to 3.2 km/h.
3. Check that the floor is firm and level, then raise the platform from the platform controls.
4. Slide the extension deck out where you need the extra reach; its own limit is 120 kg.
5. Lower the platform before driving further than a step, and put the machine on charge at the end of the shift.

Safety and maintenance

• Only on firm, level ground. Do not raise the platform anywhere else. If the tilt alarm sounds with the platform up, lower it carefully and move the machine.
• Outdoors and wind. Outdoors it is a one-person machine and the platform must not be raised when the wind may exceed 12.5 m/s.
• Never a crane. The machine lifts people with their tools. It must not push, pull or lift loads, and nothing may hang outside the platform.
• Slopes. The 25 % slope rating applies with the platform down. Raised, it may be driven at 0.8 km/h and no faster.
• The safety arm. Before anyone works under the raised platform, the safety arm is folded out and the platform lowered onto it.
• Batteries are ballast. The battery tray must weigh at least 180 kg, each battery 28 kg. Lighter batteries change the machine’s stability and must not be fitted.

Before you order

The price is on this page. A platform is bought for the height and the door it has to pass, so check these before you order:

• Working height. 12 m working height, 10 m platform height. Measure from the floor the machine will stand on, not from the ground outside.
• Door and aisle. 1.15 m wide, 2.40 m long and 1.84 m high with the rails folded. As a compact scissor lift it passes a standard industrial door.
• Load. 320 kg in total, of which at most 120 kg on the extension deck; two people indoors, one outdoors.
• Floor. 2820 kg on four wheels. Check the floor loading, especially on an upper storey or a ramp.
• Indoors or outdoors. Outdoors the platform must stay down above 12.5 m/s of wind, and only one person may be on it.
• Charging. It needs a socket where it is parked; the batteries are charged after every shift.
