A175LB automatic labelling machine

A175LB automatic labelling machine with the conveyor and the label headA175LB is an automatic labelling machine for flat surfaces. The product is laid on the conveyor, the machine carries it to the head, detects it, peels the label off the liner and rolls it down, and the operator only feeds and takes off.

It labels 40 to 120 pieces a minute, which is a label every half second at the top speed, and it holds the label within ±1 mm of where it should be.

A175LB labelling machine applying a label to a flat boxLabels can be 6 to 250 mm long and 20 to 175 mm wide, and the products 40 to 250 mm long, 40 to 200 mm wide and 0.2 to 100 mm high, from a flat card to a filled box.

The conveyor and the head are driven by a step motor under PLC control, so the same distance is repeated every cycle. The machine takes 400 W from a 110 V or 220 V socket and stands 1500 × 650 × 1400 mm on the floor.

A175LB automatic labelling machine in production

The A175LB is used in manufacturing, packaging, logistics and distribution environments where flat products require consistent label placement. It is suitable for cartons, trays, sleeves and flat industrial components that fit within the specified product size range. Typical applications include food, pharmaceutical, consumer goods and electronics packaging, as well as inventory and traceability labelling in logistics hubs.

The machine is designed to fit into inline production lines with left-to-right product flow. It can be placed between upstream and downstream conveyors, supporting both batch and continuous workflows. The compact footprint allows integration where floor space is limited.

Operators load products onto the conveyor and remove them after labelling. The system requires stable product orientation and alignment for best results. Adjustable guides and head positioning mechanisms help maintain accuracy and repeatability across different SKUs. The operator monitors label roll supply, checks tension and verifies label placement during production runs.

What an automatic labeller changes

  • One person instead of three. 40 to 120 pieces a minute is more than a person can label by hand, and the machine does not get slower towards the end of the shift.
  • Every label in the same place. ±1 mm, because the product is detected by a photo eye and the label is pulled by a step motor, not by hand.
  • Labels up to 175 mm wide. A wide label with the declaration, the barcode and the address goes on in one pass.
  • From a card to a box. Products from 0.2 to 100 mm high run on the same machine; the head is adjusted up and down and front to back.
  • It rolls the label down. After the label is applied, a covering mechanism rolls it flat, so there are no bubbles and no lifted corners.
  • An ordinary socket. 400 W at 110 V or 220 V. No compressed air and no three-phase supply.

How a label is applied

  1. Put the roll of labels on the feed, lead the liner over the peeling plate to the rewinder and set the brake so the tape stays tight.
  2. Set the height and the front-to-back position of the head for your product, and set the label position on the panel.
  3. Lay the products on the conveyor along the guides, one after another.
  4. The photo eye detects the product, the traction motor dispenses the label and the peeling plate hands it to the product.
  5. The covering roller rolls the label down and the product leaves the machine labelled.

Settings and maintenance

  • Label position. The delay between the photo eye and the head decides where the label lands. Change it in small steps and check on a real product.
  • Tape tension. The brake and the rollers keep the liner tight. A loose tape is what makes a label land crooked.
  • Head height. Set it to the height of the product so the label is laid down flat, not dragged onto the surface.
  • Product guides. The product must run parallel to the label tape. Where they are not parallel, the label goes on at an angle every time.
  • Cleaning. Clear away paper scraps, clean the rollers and the electrical box with alcohol or a neutral cleaner, and wipe the sensor lens with a soft brush. Never use acidic cleaners or anything that scratches.
  • Regular checks. Replace the fuse when it ages and spray anti-rust oil on the steel parts. The machine wants room temperature, not damp or fumes.

Before you order

A175LB labelling machine, label roll and the control panelThe price is on this page. A labeller is bought for the product and the label, so check these before you order:

  • Product size. 40–250 mm long, 40–200 mm wide and 0.2–100 mm high, with a flat top face.
  • Label size. 6–250 mm long and 20–175 mm wide, on a roll with a liner.
  • Output. 40–120 pieces a minute, which is 2400 to 7200 an hour. Leave some headroom for roll changes.
  • Space. 1500 × 650 × 1400 mm and 260 kg on the floor, plus room to feed and take off.
  • A smaller machine. For a bench and a slower line, T160LB labels 30 to 80 pieces a minute, is 800 mm high and stands on a work bench.
  • Delivery. The machine travels crated, 2.37 m³ and 280 kg gross.
